Captain Action: The Original Super Hero Action Figure Needs Your Help!   16 Apr 00 This is very important and we really appreciate your reading this.  Michael Eury's Book "Captain Action: The Original Super Hero Action Figure"  is facing more delays, but you can help.  Here is a message from the book's author, Michael Eury:

Many of you know that the publication of the book I authored almost two years ago, CAPTAIN ACTION: THE ORIGINAL SUPER-HERO ACTION FIGURE, has been repeatedly delayed by the publisher, Studio Chikara.  All signs are pointing toward a continuation of this pattern of delays, much to ye author's frustration and embarrassment.  I NEED YOUR HELP!  If each of you interested in the book would email Studio Chikara to voice your enthusiasm for the book, it may nudge the publisher into prompt action (i.e., producing the darn thing!).  The email address is stuchikara@aol.com .

Never underestimate a persons desire to be the first kid on their block to have something new.  While we personally don't condone this kind of thing, we have seen it happen with each new Playing Mantis Captain Action release.  It doesn't last long.  Not that the figure isn't worth every penny (it is, its spectacular) its just that the list price on Kid Action is $19.99  But hey, if you can't wait who are we to judge?

Now heres something cool.  The Cartoon Network's website has a section called "boomerang" which features a twenty year timeline (1958 - 1976) of cartoons, news events and toys from each year.  Guess who is one of the featured toys from 1966?  Yes, its our own Captain Action as Batman.  They have a very cool Quicktime VR file which lets you rotate the figure 360 degrees.  You need Quicktime VR to view it.  Boomerang 1966  Heres a backdoor I found to the file, in case you want to download it :)  Batman Spins!
