CAPTAIN ACTION as The Lone Ranger  18 Feb 01
Its been a while since we updated the Captain Action Uniforms page, but that doesn't mean we haven't been working behind the scenes to get those done.  We have just completed the vintage Lone Ranger page, which completes the original nine sets.  There are pictures of both the Red and Blue costumes, as well as all the accessories.  Follow the Captain Action link in the icon bar or click right here:

CAPTAIN ACTION BOOK CANCELED  10 Feb 01
Studio Chikara has issued this statement:

Studio Chikara has cancelled publication of CAPTAIN ACTION: THE ORIGINAL  SUPER-HERO ACTION FIGURE by Michael Eury (ISBN: 1890313068) slated for February 2001 release. 

"It is with deep regret that I have had to make this unfortunate decision," says publisher Robert V. Conte.  "Due to various factors, Studio Chikara is forced to reduce the size of its publishing schedule.  Sadly, Captain Action: The Original Super-Hero Action Figure is the first causality of these regrettable circumstances." 

Customers who have pre-ordered Captain Action: The Original Super-Hero Action Figure from Studio Chikara will receive refunds or their uncashed check shortly.  Credit card orders were not processed. 

"I wish Michael Eury all the best with future publication of this book and I offer customers my deepest apologies for their disappointment," says Conte.   "I'm sure Captain Action: The Original Super-Hero Action Figure will see publication in the near future and I, being a Captain Action fan for many years, eagerly await its release."

Yeah, we have been on a Hiatus over here, but that doesn't mean that things haven't been happening behind the scenes.  In the mean time, the good people at Playing Mantis need our help.  They need to establish retailer support in order to make two very cool action figure lines happen: Johnny Quest and Speed Racer.  We can help by emailing the retailers and asking them to carry the lines.  Read all about it right here and don't forget to send your email!
