According to the  Dec 1, 2000 edition of Toy Shop, a vintage Dr Evil in box has a current market value of $1,200.  However, they predict prices for action figures have leveled off, so don't expect anymore big price increases.  Its all in their "Market Update" section, complete with a picture of the evil one in an Ideal box with inserts and bagged accessories.
