Uniform and Equipment for CAPTAIN ACTION

The Spider-man outfit in the original Ideal ring box.  Spider-man, released in 1967, was only available in a ring box version.  The accessories include a suit, mask, boots, utility belt,Spider light, Spider vemon spray, and spider grappling hook with rope.
One piece Captain Action Spider-Man outfit.  It has four snaps in the back.  Note that unlike the Mego suits produced later, the suit does not have red boots integrated onto the feet portion.
The Spider-Man hood face mask is unique in the Captain Action series as it actually has holes that allow you to see Captain Action's eye beneath.  This is doubly odd when you consider that Marvel went through great pains in their early issues to explain that you do not see Spider-Man's eyes because the mask has "2-way mirror" type lens.  The mask also goes much further down on the neck than any of the other Captain Action Masks.
Spider-Man's red plastic boots have a web pattern embossed on them.  The removable boots are a nice touch, but they make the absence of gloves seem that much more apparent.
The Spider-Man Utility Belt.  This red rubber belt has a web pattern embossed on it and two loops for hanging accessorires.  As far as I can tell, only the flashlight was actually designed to attach to the loops.
The extremely rare Yellow Spider Grappling hook.  This hook has a small hole in the bottom to accommodate the pin from the "Web Sword"  The tiny pincers and the eight fragile legs make this a very hard piece to find complete.
The Spider-Man Spider Light has a spider logo on the lens and a fragile  hook on the end.  This allowed it to hang from one of the loops in the belt.  The accessory is apparently based on the Spider Signal, a light that spider-man had as part of his belt in the early issues of the comic book series.
The lower portion of the Spider Grappling Hook with Rope.  Often refered to as the "Web Sword", it has a rope and pin for attaching to the Spider Grappling hook.  Like the Yellow spider, this seems an odd accessory for Spider-Man, apparently intended to simulate the webbing he used for swinging around the city.
The Spider-Man Spider Venom Spray.  Even stranger than the web sword, as there is no precident for Spider-Man using "Spider Vemon".  Also called the "Web Tank" which is only slightly less bizarre.  It is hard plastic with a rubber hose and strap, and he wears it slung over his shoulder.  Awkward to say the least, but imaginative on Ideal's part in providing accessories for a super hero who didn't have any.
